## What is Daily Mahjong?

It is one mahjong solitaire board per day, shared by everyone: the same layout and the same tiles in the same places, on a phone and on a computer. That is why scores on the daily leaderboard can be compared fairly. The board comes from a seed made of the date, and every deal can be won, because the game builds it backwards by taking pairs off a full layout.

## When does the daily board change?

A new board appears at midnight UTC. The calendar in the game shows how long it is until the next one.

## How do the day streak and the calendar work?

Your streak grows by one for every day in a row on which you clear the daily board, and a missed day starts it again. The calendar marks every completed day of the month in gold, and the game also keeps your longest streak. You can replay today's board to beat your score.

## How is the leaderboard score counted?

A pair is worth 100 points, and pairs taken one after another within 5 seconds build a streak that adds 30 points for each next pair, up to 300 more per pair. Clearing the board adds a time bonus of 12,000 points minus 12 for every second. A hint costs 250 points and a shuffle 500. Only daily board scores go to the klyo leaderboard, so everyone plays for the same thing.

## What if no pairs are left?

Then a shuffle arranges the remaining tiles so the board can still be cleared, and undo takes back any move. If the remaining tiles cannot be taken in pairs at all, for example one lying on another, the game says so and offers to undo.

## Which layouts does the daily board use?

The daily board rotates through 6 full layouts of 144 tiles: Palace, Mountain, Pagoda, Butterfly, Fortress, Turtle. Every day has a new seed, so even the same layout comes back with different tiles.

## What else is in the game?

Besides the daily board there is a journey of 60 levels with stars, from a small garden to full palaces, and free play on 18 layouts. New tile colors and tables for your collection open up with every board you clear.
