2048 Blockfall joins the 2048 rule with falling blocks: a numbered tile drops from the top, you move it sideways and down, and equal numbers merge into bigger ones. The tower grows until it hits the ceiling, so every move is a plan for the next two. CRUNCH is a one-thumb puzzle from the same family: you slide and crush blocks until the board is clear, with no timer. Both keep a record on your device and play upright on a phone.
The rules of 2048 in three sentences
The board is four by four. You push all tiles in one direction, and two tiles with the same number that touch merge into one with double the value: 2 and 2 make 4, 4 and 4 make 8, and so on up to 2048. After every move a new 2 or 4 appears; the game ends when no move is possible. Block versions change one thing: tiles fall, so gravity and time join in.
How to play 2048 on a phone and on a computer
On a phone you swipe in the direction the tiles should go; in Blockfall a sideways swipe positions the block and a downward swipe drops it. On a computer you use the arrow keys. Full screen hides the browser bar, and the board fits the screen width, so on a phone you see the whole board without scrolling.
