This shelf holds the games that carry our “for everyone” label. The label is not a marketing claim: it comes from the questionnaire the developer fills in at publication (violence, fear, purchases, contact with other players) and from our check of the game package before release. A game with blood, a chase in the dark or shooting gets a 12+ or 13+ label and does not enter this shelf.

Here you will find number puzzles (2048 Blockfall, CRUNCH, Sudoku), a classic board (Checkers), building with blocks that have real mass (Klyo Blocks), riddles on a sphere (gravity garden), a platformer about light (Lumina Thief), timed fruit slicing (Slice Rush) and a snake that starts a family (Neon Coil). Each one opens from a link in the same tab, with no download and no account, and works on a phone and on a computer.

A child plays alone, without creating an account and without giving any data. Inside the games there are no purchases, no chat and no messages from strangers. Ads next to the games on this shelf are non-personalised — that is what our terms promise and what the portal's code does, not a setting that can be overlooked.

How to pick a game for a child by age

The youngest do best with one-finger games, rounds of a few minutes and no painful losing: Slice Rush (swipe to slice fruit), CRUNCH (playable with one hand) and Klyo Blocks (you build, nothing chases you). From about seven, numbers and boards come in: 2048 Blockfall, Sudoku on the easy level with hints that explain the step, and Checkers against the computer. Older children like Lumina Thief (jumps and lanterns) and gravity garden (spatial riddles).

Safety: what we check before a game gets here

Every game package goes through an automatic check: whether it loads third-party scripts or ads, whether it sends data outside klyo, whether it opens windows with other sites. The developer answers questions about violence, fear, purchases and contact between players — the age label is computed from the answers, and our review of the package can only raise it, never lower it. A game shown to children cannot quietly turn into something else: a developer's new version goes through the same sieve.

On a phone, a tablet and a computer

The games on this shelf run in the browser, so there is nothing to download from a store and no parent account to sign in to. On a phone you play with a finger, on a computer with the mouse or the arrows; the game page says whether to hold the phone upright or sideways. The record stays on the device, and a score can be sent to the leaderboard under a nickname — with no e-mail and no account.

Every game page is in English: description, controls, questions and answers. The games themselves on this shelf have an English interface or no text that needs reading at all — the controls are gestures, numbers and pictures, so a child who cannot read yet can manage too.
