Mobile games: play free in your browser

One-thumb controls, full screen, nothing from the app store.

About this shelf: Mobile games

What mobile games in a browser are

Mobile games without download are games played with one thumb, in portrait, on the full screen. They take no space, ask for no permissions and need no store: you open the address in your browser and play.

The full-screen button also works on iPhone, where the browser has no full-screen mode of its own: the game expands to the whole height of the screen. You can add the portal to your home screen like a regular app.

Portrait games work best here: the board fills the screen, one gesture, a round of two to five minutes. Your record is saved on the phone, and where a game has a leaderboard you join it with a nickname, no account. Every developer game is checked on a phone before it reaches this shelf, so each of them can really be played with a thumb.
