About this shelf: No-download games

What no-download games in a browser are

Browser games with no download are this whole catalogue: every game starts in the tab you are reading this in, with no store download, no sign-up and no login. There is no ad video before the start and no pop-up asking for your data; there is one consent window required by law for Google ads, only next to games that show ads.

The games come from klyo and from independent developers who publish here on their own terms: the rights stay theirs, the game has its own address and they will get a share of the ads next to it once we switch them on. If you make games yourself, the catalogue is open.

How it works: the game is an ordinary web page that the browser downloads and runs in a frame on its own address, isolated from the rest of the portal. Nothing is written outside that frame, so closing the tab ends the game without a trace, and coming back restores the save from the device. For developers it is the same road: a ZIP, a check, an own address and a place on this shelf.

No-download games: MOSS: Bloom Rescue, Mocket League, Mahjong Connect, PRISM: Orb Hunter, Nonograms, Word Search, WORLDD, ATLAS: World Quest, LEXI: Word Garden, Hearts, Ludo Royal, Reversi, Dominoes, Pyramid Solitaire, Tic Tac Toe, Minesweeper, Backgammon, Korsarze, DrawTheWayInfinite, Pulse Drift, Ancient Runes, The Last Office Worker, STUNTYARD, AIRFLIP, NIGHTLANE, FRONTBREAK, Chess, FreeCell Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, Klondike Solitaire, Bubble Shooter: Glass Garden, Sea Battle, Bilard 8-Ball, Mahjong Sanctuary, Club 21, PULSE: Echo Maze, gravity garden, Klyo Blocks, SWARM, Vairaxis, CRUNCH, 2048 Blockfall, Checkers, ghost run, Sudoku, Memory, Slice Rush, Neon Coil: Family Arena.

How a no-download game differs from a store app

A store app takes space on your phone, asks for permissions and updates itself. A no-download game is a web page: the browser fetches it when you arrive and runs it in a frame on its own address. It leaves no icon and no file behind, and a new version shows up the next time you open it. You can add it to your home screen as a shortcut, but you do not have to.

No sign-up and no login: what works without an account

No game in the catalogue asks for an account. You do not give an email, make up a password or sign in with Google: you click a tile and the game starts. Your record is saved in the browser on this device and stays after you close the tab.

An account is optional and only matters when you want more: your name on the leaderboard, a heart and a rating under a game, a comment, your own clip from a run and progress that moves from your phone to your computer. Games for adults ask once whether you are 18 and do not need an account for it.

How to play on a phone, a tablet and a computer

On a phone you tap a tile, the game opens in the same tab, and the full-screen button hides the browser bar. The game page says whether to hold the phone upright or sideways. On a computer you play with the arrow keys, the keyboard or the mouse, depending on the game. Same game, same address, same record on the device you play on.

What we check before a game lands on this shelf

Every package goes through an automatic filter: the game may not load third-party ads, send data outside klyo or ask for an account somewhere else. The maker fills in a content survey, which sets the age label on the game page. A game that fails does not appear in the catalogue. That is why this shelf has no windows asking for your data and no games that ask for money after a minute.

Kinds of no-download games on klyo

Puzzle: checkers, sudoku, 2048 with blocks, the CRUNCH tile puzzle and memory. Arcade: rooftop running in Ghost Run and slicing in Slice Rush. There is also the Neon Coil board arena for several players. The list grows because makers add games themselves, and every new game gets its own page and a place on the shelf of its kind.

Questions about this shelf

Are no-download games safe?

The game runs in a frame on its own address, isolated from the rest of the site, and has no access to the files on your phone. We check every package before publishing.

Do I need to sign up or log in?

No. Every game starts without signing up or logging in. An account is optional: it adds your name to leaderboards, hearts and ratings under games, comments, clips and progress that moves between devices.

Are the games free?

Yes, all of them. There are no in-game purchases and no premium version.

Can I play on an old phone?

Usually yes, because the game is a web page. You need an up-to-date browser. If a game stutters, close other tabs and switch off battery saver while you play.

Will my score survive closing the tab?

Yes, the record is saved in the browser on this device. Clearing browser data removes it along with other site data.
