Free online solitaire: Klondike, Spider and FreeCell in your browser

Three classic solitaire games in your browser: Klondike, Spider and FreeCell. Free, no download and no account.

About this shelf: Solitaire online

Which solitaire should you play: Klondike, Spider or FreeCell?

Solitaire is a card game for one person: you sort the deck by the rules until every card is in its place. Here you get the three versions people ask for most, and each one runs in your browser on a phone, a tablet and a computer, with nothing to install and no account to create.

Klondike is the classic solitaire known from Windows computers: one deck, seven columns and drawing one or three cards. Spider is played with two decks on ten columns, and before the deal you choose one, two or four suits. FreeCell shows the whole deck from the first move, and four free cells help you along.

All three games have a daily deal, hints and undo, and an unfinished game waits for you the next time you come back. Card sounds and music have separate buttons at the table.

Solitaire online: FreeCell Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, Klondike Solitaire.

Klondike solitaire: draw one or draw three?

Drawing one card gives you access to every card in the stock, so it is a good choice to start with and for a short break. With draw three you can only play the top card of the face up three: the order of moves matters and more deals end without a solution. You switch the variant when you start a new game.

Spider solitaire: one, two or four suits?

With one suit you can move any ordered run, so you mostly think about turning cards face up. With two suits you have to separate sequences, and four suits is the version for patient players, because mixed runs quickly block the table. You win Spider when you clear eight full runs from King to Ace in one suit.

FreeCell: the solitaire where you see every card

In FreeCell nothing is face down, so the result comes from your plan, not from luck with the draw. Each of the four free cells holds one card, and your free cells and empty columns decide how many cards you can move at once. Deals have numbers, so you can come back to the same layout, and the harder variant gives you only two cells.

How do you play solitaire on a phone?

Drag a card or an ordered run with your finger, or tap a card to move it to a matching spot. On a computer you do the same with the mouse. New game, undo and hint have buttons at the table, so you never dig through a menu.

Daily deal: one layout for everyone

Every day each of the three games gets a new daily deal. The date picks it, so everyone plays the same layout on any device, and you can compare with friends who did better.
