What are browser games?
Browser games run in a browser tab like any web page: no installer to download, no account to create and no update to wait for. This shelf holds every game in the klyo catalogue, ordered by players: the ones people play most and rate best stand at the top.
The order comes from plays, hearts and player ratings, not from payments: a place on this list cannot be bought. It changes with what people actually play.
Every game works on phone, tablet and desktop, including Chromebooks. All you need is a current browser: Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox.

Which browser games can I play with a friend?
Chess, battleships, pool and Vairaxis are made for two players. Battleships also works through a link, each of you on your own phone. Games with a score have daily, weekly and all-time leaderboards, so you also compete with players you have never met.
Are browser games safe?
Every game runs in a frame on its own address, isolated from the rest of the page, with no access to the files on your device. Before a game enters the catalogue, an automatic check reads the package: third-party ads, sending data outside klyo and malicious code stop the release. Games carry an age label.
Do browser games work on a Chromebook or at school?
On a Chromebook they work like on any computer, because they only need a browser. At school the network decides: if the administrator blocks game sites, no browser game will open. We do not promise ways around such blocks.
How are browser games made, and where can I publish one?
A browser game is written in HTML5 and JavaScript, or in an engine that exports to the web: Godot, Unity, Construct, Phaser. More and more often it is made in a conversation with an AI assistant.
Where to publish depends on the kind of game: PC games usually go to Steam or itch.io, mobile games to Google Play and the App Store, and a browser game can go live straight away at its own address. On klyo you upload a ZIP or release the game straight from your AI assistant, and it gets its own page, clips and a leaderboard.
