Create a club or school on Klyo
In tournaments open the Clubs tab, press “Create a club” and go through four steps: type and name, crest, place and description, access and links. The club gets its page, an invitation link and a place in the ranking at once.
Before you start
- A Klyo account. One account can create two clubs and belong to three.
- A club name and, if you like, the school or team logo as a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG file.
Step by step
Start creating
In tournaments choose the Clubs tab and press Create a club. Choose the type: school, club or team, and type the name. Klyo checks at once that the name is free. Press Next.
Design the crest
Choose the shape, pattern, colours and emblem, for example a knight. A school can choose Your own image and upload its logo: everyone sees it after a person from Klyo checks it, and until then the designer crest is shown.
Add the place and description
Choose the country and city and describe who you are, what you play and when you meet. The description goes on the club page, which Google can find.
Set access and links
Decide whether anyone joins at once or with the captain's approval. Add links to the website and social networks and press Create club. On the club page you can copy the invitation link for students or friends.
Invite members and play in club colours
Send the invitation link to students or friends. The captain and coaches create members only tournaments, and in every Klyo tournament the members' wins give the club points in the club standings and a chance at the trophy. After a tournament the coach issues the members certificates with a Klyo code.
If something goes wrong
The name is taken
Every club has a unique name and address. Add the city or the school abbreviation.
The school logo does not show yet
Your own crest waits for a check by a person from Klyo, because school clubs have children. After approval the captain gets an email and the logo appears everywhere.
I want the verified school badge
The captain asks for verification in the club panel and describes the school, ideally with a link to its website. A person from Klyo checks the request, and a verified club gets the badge while its page goes into Google results.
I want to hand the captaincy to someone else
In the club panel choose a member and give them the captain role. Only then can you leave the club; the last member closes the club and its name becomes free again.
Someone pretends to be our school
Write to us from the help pages with a link to the club. The administrator can suspend such a club, and a verified school has a badge that no other club gets without a check.
