About ATLAS: World Quest

You do not need to know the answer immediately: every wrong guess becomes a clue for your next choice. A short interactive introduction uses Italy to show how to make a selection and follow the compass.

Select the country field and start typing a name. The game suggests matching countries in your chosen language, and a separate Check button submits your selection. Typing, correcting a spelling mistake and browsing suggestions do not use guesses. A wrong answer reveals the distance in kilometres and an arrow with a plain-language direction. A smaller distance means you are closer. Distances are measured between country reference points, rather than between borders.

The world journey contains 195 stops, starting with recognisable outlines and progressing to less familiar countries and small islands. A completed stop earns one to three stars depending on the number of guesses. You can revisit completed stops to improve your stars. An optional hint reveals the continent and reduces the reward by one star, while a win always earns at least one. Countries you solve become stamps in your passport collection.

The daily expedition gives everyone the same puzzle and changes at 00:00 UTC. It has no hints. A win in the current daily puzzle can submit between 500 and 1,000 points to the Klyo leaderboard, depending on guesses used. The round is saved, so refreshing the page does not reset your attempts. An archive offers the previous seven daily puzzles for practice without ranking points.

Free exploration lets you choose the whole world or one of six continents. There is no timer or pressure to answer quickly. The game covers 193 UN member states and two UN observer states. Outlines are simplified, north stays at the top, and each shape is fitted to the board at its own scale. These are puzzle clues, not navigation maps.

ATLAS works on phones, tablets and computers in portrait and landscape. It includes light and dark themes, sound with a mute option, keyboard controls and shareable results that keep the answer secret. The interface, instructions and country names are available in Polish, English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Ukrainian and Turkish. Switching language preserves your shared journey progress and country collection.
