How to play Nonograms

  1. 01

On a computer: Arrow keys select a square. Space fills it, X adds a cross, Backspace or Delete erases, Z undoes a move, and Esc pauses. With a mouse, click or drag to use your selected tool. Right-click to add a cross.

  2. 02

On a phone: Choose Fill, Mark empty or Erase, then tap a square or drag across several. Using the same tool on a marked square again clears it. Zoom in and choose Pan to move around a larger grid. Undo restores your previous move.

About Nonograms

There are no words to guess or calculations to complete. A guided 5 × 5 tutorial shows how the clues work, so your first picture begins with a clear next step.

Each number describes a consecutive group of filled squares. A clue of 2 1 means a group of two, at least one empty square, then a single filled square, in that order. Crosses let you record spaces that must remain empty. Compare rows and columns to build on what you already know. Every puzzle has one solution that can be reached through logical deduction.

Explore 60 pictures across six collections: Nature, Animals, Objects, Travel, Treats and Symbols. Choose a compact 5 × 5 grid, a medium 10 × 10 challenge or a larger 15 × 15 picture. Completed images join your personal gallery. There is no time limit or life counter, leaving room to pause, reconsider and return to an unfinished pattern.

Tap or drag to fill squares on a phone. Separate fill, cross and erase tools keep each action clear. Repeating the same action removes its mark. Zoom and pan help you navigate bigger grids, while mouse and keyboard controls support desktop play. Undo, error checking and a logical hint for one square provide help when needed.

You start with 100 hint points, earn 30 for each first completion and spend 50 to unlock a hint. Unlocked hints can be restored free of charge. This balance is separate from your puzzle score. A daily 10 × 10 puzzle rotates through the collection by UTC date; pictures can repeat, and its reward is available once per day.

Choose Porcelain, Sage, Terracotta or Midnight backgrounds and a light or dark theme. Progress saves on your device. Switching between ten interface languages keeps your current puzzle intact.

Do I need to install anything
