Start with a word you recognise, follow the clues at the crossings and turn an empty grid into a completed crossword. Play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with no app installation and no countdown.

How to play WORLDD

Look at the letter wheel beneath or beside the crossword. Drag from one letter to the next, then release to check your word. If you prefer tapping, select the letters in order and press Check. On the first English board, try CAT and then ACT: the same three letters make two different answers.

You can use each physical tile once in a word. When two tiles show the same letter, both are available. There is no need to select a space in the crossword. A correct answer fills its place automatically, leaving visible letters to help you solve the words that cross it.

Easy corrections while you play

Tap a selected letter again to remove it. The backspace button to the right of your word deletes the last letter, while the centre of the wheel clears the whole selection. During a swipe, drag back to the previous letter to undo a step. On a computer, you can also type your answer, press Enter to check it and use Backspace to correct it.

A journey through 60 levels

Every language has 60 levels across three chapters, with different crossword layouts and wheels containing three to seven letters.

Open Appearance to choose one of six backgrounds: Desert Dawn, Alpine Lake, Kyoto Garden, Moonlit Ocean, Quiet Forest or Cosmic Night. Pick your tile colours separately from Pearl, Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, Gold and Graphite. Landscape cards show each scene, while a combined preview lets you see your background and tiles together before applying them.

Appearance is available on the start screen and in the pause menu. Apply saves your choice; Cancel keeps your current look. You can also let the background follow the current chapter. Your appearance settings stay the same across languages, and changing them preserves your unfinished crossword.

Your progress is saved so you can return to an unfinished board. Completing a level unlocks the next, and you can revisit earlier puzzles. Solve a board without hints for three stars, use one hint for two stars, or finish with more hints for one star.

A little help when you get stuck

Shuffle rearranges the letters for free. A hint costs 50 points and reveals one empty cell. You see the price and your balance before confirming. An incorrect attempt does not take a life or end the level. Some additional words are recognised as bonuses, but they are optional and do not add points to spend on hints.

Earn points and choose when to use a hint

Start with a one-time gift of 100 points, shared across all 10 languages. Each required crossword word solved for the first time on its board earns 5 points. This also includes a word completed by crossing answers or a revealed hint. Finishing a campaign level for the first time adds 20 points, separately for each level in each language.

The first completed daily challenge earns 30 points. This reward is available once per UTC day across all languages together. Changing languages does not grant a second daily completion reward. Replaying a board, restarting or refreshing the page does not award points again for the same words or previously completed levels.

Your hint balance is separate from stars and leaderboard scores. Spending 50 points still counts as using a hint, with the usual effect on your stars and daily score. If your balance is too low, the panel shows how many points are missing and how to earn more. You can return to the puzzle without spending points.

A daily word puzzle without a race

Players using the same language receive the same daily board. Your score depends on hints and incorrect attempts, not on how quickly you finish. Your first completion of the day is submitted to the leaderboard. The board is selected at midnight UTC from a shared pool, so a puzzle can return on another date.

Before your first puzzle

Can I play WORLDD on my phone? Yes. The layout adapts to portrait and landscape screens, with touch controls for connecting letters. You can choose a light or dark theme and mute the sound.

Which languages are available? English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Ukrainian and Turkish. Each language has its own words and separate progress. Choose your language on the start screen or in the pause menu.

Why is a real word sometimes not accepted? Each board has a defined set of crossword answers and selected bonus words. It does not accept every word in the language. Check the length of the empty answer and the letters already revealed at its crossings.
