About Klyo Blocks
A cubic metre of stone weighs 2.6 tonnes and a block of gold 19.3 tonnes, so moving material is a real decision and not a detail. Production follows real processes: coal is coked into coke and tar, tar gives carbon black, iron ore and coke are smelted into steel, sulfur becomes sulfuric acid, galena gives lead, and rubber comes from latex tapped from rubber trees in the jungle.
In the part designer you enter real dimensions, for example a 205/55 R16 tyre, and the game works out the mass, the motor power from its weight and the battery capacity in kilowatt hours. Put together a frame, four wheels, a motor, a lead acid battery and a seat, get behind the wheel and drive. Tyre grip, air drag and rolling resistance decide how fast you go and how far you get on one charge. You also get hungry, so you pick fruit in the jungle and dry it over a fire, because dried fruit holds three times more energy per kilogram.
On a computer you walk with WASD, jump with space, look around with the mouse, dig with the left button, place with the right, open the backpack with I and get in or out of the car with E. On a phone a stick on the left moves you and your right thumb turns the camera. A session can last a few minutes or a whole evening, and the world saves itself. The menus of the game are in Polish for now.
